A tight fitting case for Garmin Widescreen (255w)
The is slimmer than most GPS case out there. It is a slip on and fits tightly to your 4.3" screen or widescreen Garmin (mine is 255w). The only problem I have with this design is if you slide the GPS with the siding "ON" button, it might turn on when you put it away. Make sure you side the end with the "ON" button last. I like the leather slip-on size and look, kind of like some of the older iPod slip-on case you get from apple.

Garmin Nuvi 360 Car Vent Mount
This is the best mount option available in the market today for atleast Garmin Nuvi 360 ... I have installed this in my toyota corolla 2009 ... It is just a foot away from the driving position ... I can operate my GPS easily and without any risks ... The only issue I found is to remove the mount from the vent ... But again ... we don't do it often ... 4 cheers for this product ...

Didn't work.
Didn't work for my car (landrover), or my mom's car (toyota corolla), or my fiances car (yukon). It just pointed down towards the floor with each of them. However, if it fits for your car it would be a good thing to have, so the gps isn't attached to the window. I went back to using my friction mount, which I love.

Great little gadget... only IF it's right for you.
Look VERY carefully at the picture for this product. Note 3 things:
1) The louvers are horizontal
2) The louvers are FIXED (do not adjust up or down)
3) The position of the louvers in relationship to the driver.

Let's look at these three areas more closely...

1) There are two support posts on the back of the mount which will go over and attach to the top horizontal louver... so the louver MUST be horizontal.
2) If the louvers are NOT fixed (up or down), the weight of the Garmin unit will cause the mount along with your Garmin to hang flacidly downward in a position where you can't see the screen (it will face the floor).
3) The mounting bracket swivels left and right... but not up or down. Therefore, if the position of your vents are too high or too low in relationship to the driver, you might be disappointed in your ability to see the screen clearly in different light conditions.

However.....

If you meet all the above criteria, this IS the unit for YOU! I loved mine... I just wish someone had told me about the "fixed", non-adjustable (up or down) louver requirement...

Of importance to note: When I realized this was not the unit for me, I e-mailed the seller, and was cheerfully and promptly issued an RMA and a refund. So, even if this is not the right unit for you, (there are others)... I recommend this seller very highly.

Car Vent Mount for Garmin Nuvi
This works great. I definitely recommend. I use it in my Toyota Siena.

Bad design
I bought this vent mount for my garmin nuvi 350. It's an ok product if you don't mind the thing jiggling aroung on your a/c vent. Appearantly it's not desingned for every car exactly. Despite the adjustment features it has it still can not maintian a steady footing on my a/c vent. And it was not easy to remove from the vent. Overall not a good buy. I wouldn't waste the money.

Great GPS!
I have had this GPS for about a year now and LOVE it! It has yet to fail me :) I do in home parties so I use it a lot to get to peoples houses and I have not had any problems. About 2 weeks ago I relied on it to get me from Chicago to Orlando and it did! 1200 miles and no problems at all. Thanks TOM TOM!
The only reason I am giving it a 4 star is because it was made in the UK some of the streets are spoken wrong and if I were in a completely unfamiliar area I might get confused.

Points of Interest a huge letdown
I'll skip over all of the details of use and features so thoroughly covered by all of the other reviewers and confine my comments to the points of interest. They are abysmal. Truly awful. The points of interest database must be wildly out of date (I have the latest maps) or extremely limited in scope because you can not rely on Tomtom to get you to much of anything when searching by name. Example: trying to navigate to a Fedex Kinkos store in my area from a direction I don't normally come from the 720 was totally unable to find the store. I would have had to have known the street address ahead of time defeating the purpose of POIs.
I've added many lists of POIs to the Tomtom hoping to improve it but no joy - it is useless to me when trying to navigate by name to a store, bank, etc.
It is now headed for Ebay and I'm headed either back to Garmin or over to Magellan.

Have to much life to live?
I received this gps and unpacked it, read the manual, loaded the software.
I spent 6 hours trying to figure out how to get, and load, the free map update. After 6 hours and 4 attempts to update the maps I gave up. Everytime the maps were downloaded, 1hour 30 minutes on a 5 gig connection, it came up with an error message, different one each time, and failed to update the map it told me was 7 quarters out of date.
I then attempted to enter a route to get from my home to my other house. What a frustrating exercise in wasted time.
If you have to much time on your hands you may wish to go outside and drive a few nails through you hand, it will be just as enjoyable and useful as the time you will waste trying to make this thing useful.
The manuals are crud, the company website is useless, the software is slooooow, complicated, obtuse, and useless. The box, packing materials and case are ok.

Tom Tom
This tom tom 720 is a first class unit it will do more then I need.
Great unit.

TomTom 720
Great product! works very well.. you type in an address and drive to it. The points of interest are sufficient for my use. After several weeks I did not come across any geographical errors. The blue tooth works very well.
Speech is good, yes it mispronounces Spanish street names, but so do most non Spanish speakers. The pronunciation is still quite understandable, nevertheless.
I did quite a bit of research and chose this unit over garmin because of the user updates, plus all the features that in the garmins would cost a lot more money. I read some of the complaints and I did not notice any problems. I guess people will find fault with anything if they try hard enough. Nevertheless I recommend this product

The Perfect In-Car GPS System
I used iGuidance 1.0 for the Pocket PC for over 4 years before I got the Garmin nüvi 360. I loved the iGuidance but the Garmin nüvi 360 blew me away!

Accuracy
--------
The nüvi is very accurate; it has yet to fail to bring me to my destination. However, I've encountered a few instances where an address or road wasn't in the nüvi database - and I have the most current (2009) maps. In such cases, your best bet would be to simply enter an adjacent or nearby location into the nüvi.

Directions
----------
The software lets you know how far ahead your next turn is when you're within between about .1 to .5 miles. It says something like "In .1 miles, turn left onto Broadway" and a few hundred feet before your turn, it omits the information on the distance before your turn and simply says "Turn left onto Broadway." I wish it used feet instead of miles when specifying distances .2 mile (1056 ft) or less but it's a minor complaint.

The software gives you the directions for two successive turns that are very close together (say, 300 feet apart) all at once to make sure you have ample time to respond to the second turn that immediately follows the first. For example, "Take exit 70, then keep left", or "Turn right, then immediately turn left."

However, it may occasionally notify you of a turn a little late, which results in you missing the turn. Thankfully, this doesn't happen very often. If you do miss a turn, however, the software recalculates a new route very quickly (within a couple of seconds)!

Auto-Off/Resume Function

My Garmin is a permanent fixture in my car. I leave the car adapter permanently hooked up to the unit. What I really love about it is it automatically turns off when the external power supply is lost. What this translates to is whenever I turn off my car engine, the unit automatically shuts itself off. When I start my car, the unit automatically fires back up. It gets better - it remembers your set destination when it turns back on and resumes giving you directions to your destination. This feature is handy for when I need to fill up on gas midway to a destination. After I'm done filling up my tank, I start my car, at which point the GPS unit fires back up and immediately resumes giving me directions to my destination. Very cool! This makes the Garmin nüvi the perfect In-Car GPS solution!

Data Entry
----------
The keys for entering addresses into the nüvi are arranged alphabetically from A-Z, not in a QWERTY format. Personally, I find the tedium of having to hunt for letters in the A-Z format a real inconvenience and annoyance!

Lock It
-------
You can lock your nüvi with a 4-digit PIN. The package comes with 2 decals that state that your GPS unit is secured with a security code to deter would-be thieves from stealing the unit.

Text-To-Speech
--------------
The text to speech still sounds like it comes from a synthesized voice but it's perfectly intelligible.


Multi-Point Routing
-------------------
Even though Multi-Point Routing is NOT an intended feature on the nüvi 360, it doesn't mean the nüvi isn't _capable_ of Multi-Point Routing. Here's how it's accomplished: Say, you want to go from point A to point D via point B and point C.

(i) You want to first set the destination to point D.

(ii) Then, once again, you set the destination a second time, this time to point C. You will receive the following prompt from the software asking "Insert as via point?", which essentially means: Do you want to overwrite the destination you've set in step (i), i.e. the point D destination or do you want to go to point D VIA point C. Answer YES.

(iii) Yet again, set the destination a third time to point B. Answer YES when prompted whether you want to "Insert as via point?"

There you have it, the nüvi is going to take you from point A to point D VIA points B and C. It's a clumsy roundabout way of getting the nüvi 360 to do Multi-Point Routing, but it can be done.

- SD card Slot
Since the unit can serve as an MP3 Player and a photo viewer, it has an SD card slot allows you to load mp3 and photos (JPEG) onto the unit.

- MP3 Player
The MP3 Player is very basic. It has shuffle and repeat track/playlist. The unit will only read mp3 files in the root directory of the SD card; it will not read mp3 files that are in a folder. It will, however, read playlist (pls) files, which can have their source from one or more folders / sub folders. There are other limitations to the mp3 player:
(i) you cannot delete tracks
(ii) you cannot arrange/edit your playlists

To edit/delete your tracks or playlists, you will need to do so in your computer, mobile device, or music device.

- Picture Viewer
You can load your photos via the SD card slot and view it on the screen.

- Bluetooth Phone Hookup
I'm, unfortunately, still using a cell phone that's doesn't have Bluetooth (it's one of those antiquated phones reminiscent of the cell phones from the 90's) so I'm unable to test this feature. But I'm able to tell you it's a feature that allows you to hook up your phone to the GPS unit via Bluetooth so you can use the GPS unit as a handsfree console. Now, that's pretty nifty.

Conclusion
----------
The Garmin nüvi 360 is a very affordable In-Car GPS Solution. Apart from the cumbersome interface (A-Z keys) for entering your destination, I really don't have very much else to complain about it. Highly recommended!

nuvi 360 is the ultimate
This is the first review I post for any product but I had to leave word. Nuvi 360 has it all: ease of use, thin, bluetooth, bright screen, accurate within a few feet. Optional traffic receiver sounds good but does not offer analysis of detour. Overall, I am extremely pleased and haven't left home without it.

Great tool for travel
VCery happy with this purchase! I bought the 360 over the 350 for the Bluetooth. So far it is a great unit: very accurate and fast. At Pricegrabber.com I found the best prices delivered. I would recommend this unit to anyone who travels. It is very easy to operate and attaches easily to the windshield or dash with a sturdy suction mount. It can also be set to play MP3 files and audio books.

nuvi360
It is a valuable tool and has already saved me time. It comes in handy when you are in a new area or need an alternate route idea.

There are other GPS (Mio) avialable which are cheaper then this high end GPS
I purchased Nuvi360 for just more than 900USD, features and other things are good, but during Thanksgiving i got GPS from Mio for little less than 200USD. Both GPS worked well, i used Mio GPS in NY downtown under highrise buildings but there was no problem of finding signals, when we travelled via Lincoln tonnel we lost GPS signal (which is quite normal) but once we came out of tunnel GPS acuired signals in less than 30Sec and recalculated the distance and map.

I also used WALKING mode of Mio GPS to roam in NY and it was quite exciting.

I would recommand people to go for Mio (unless u want to have Traffic alert which is not in Mio but is part of NUVI 360).

Sucks for UK highway system
I am stationioned in England and bought the 670 just for the US/Euro map combo. While here, I have traveled much though the country and mainland Europe only to do so taking back roads. The speed camera thing for me worked, but it won't take me on the highways!!! I keep getting told "at round a bout, take 2nd exit..." or the like. NEVER staying on the highways. Does it do this for the states as well?
Garmin folks told me to plug in detour to the highways. Well, it'll only let me use one, then it wants to replace the previous.
This thing does suck! It's great for navigating throughout the system iteself and all it's options, but sucks navigating the roads, where it counts.

Long Term Review - Had it since they came out...
I've had my Nuvi 670 since they first came out - it was very expensive at the time, so I expected a lot from it.

I was dissapointed to find that the traffic info was subscription based - and at a rip off price at that.

I was also dissapointed that the maps seemed to be out of date right from the get go, and they expected me to PAY for new ones!!

RX sensitivity never seemed to be as good as my older Garmin units or the Pioneer AVIC unit I installed in one of my other cars. Slight overcast skys or clouds seemed to kill the GPS satellite reception.

The internal battery crapped out on me in less than a year. It lasts for about a minute before shutting off these days.

I tried to nav from San Jose to an address in Petaluma today. No joy. The audio kept going into distortion and then cutting out completely. After a while, it stopped giving me any audible directions at all. No amount of powering off/on made any difference - the thing is toast. Of course, there's no warranty on it any more....

Overall, I'm not a happy customer. Will seriously look elsewhere (i.e. not Garmin) for my next unit. All in all, I feel like I wasted a grand on this one. Better luck next time.

Best GPS for the money
Bought this GPS as an "open box special" from Amazon. While it didn't ship with any manuals (a bit disappointed), its user interface is rather intuitive. Great features - everything you want in a GPS. I even used it recently while driving in the UK and it worked perfectly.

My only issue with the device is that the bluetooth doesn't support my phone, a Blackberry 8310. Bluetooth capability is one of the reasons I bought the phone. So, I'll wait patiently while Garmin resolves this - however, you need to check the compatibility list on their website before purchasing.

WOW! Garmin Refurbs rock!
The nuvi 670 was purchased thru Amazon and sold by one of their contractors. It is a factory refurbished model 670 with North American and European maps, both the 2009 issues that I paid about 0. Although it's "last years" model the 670 has longer battery life and most all the features of the current nuvi 775 which list at close to a grand! The refurb unit came with all the "in the box" goodies that a new one has, and cosmetically could not be told from new.

This product worked flawlessly right out of the box....it's loaded with Bluetooth, FM tranmitter, picture viewer, and mp3 play in addition to the terrific GPS features.

The only minor negative is that the FM transmitter on the U.S. model 670 has rather low power, but once a satisfactory FM channel is found with a relatively close car antenna it worked great. I automatically pauses the MP3 when the GPS wants to talk and likewise when the phone rings with bluetooth.

Overall a terrific buying experience.

This product was purchased because we went on vacation and borrowed a smaller version of this product. We then researched and noticed this particular product had everything that the other did and more. This thing is absolutely great. You also get a free update that is redeemable once. It is definitely worth its money. I would recommend this to anyone that travels.
