We bought our first rocker toddler set 10 years ago for our first child and bought this one new this year for #5 - what an improvement over the old designs! I like that the rocker can be locked in position, and that the toy bar is locked in unless you want to remove it. Easy to remove fabric seat and usable as a chair as baby gets older. Very versatile.

Love it, used with three kids and for my business
I own a baby gear and crib rental company in Maine and this is one of the fisher price infant we offer. I think this is better for babies that have gone beyond the newborn stage until 8-9 months, all though it would work for newborns too, just not as well. One thing I like about the seat is it has a metal peice you can flip forward to act as a brake, so it doesn’t have to be in “rocking” postion at all times. Thanks! Used correctly, this fisher price rocker seat is perfect!,

I’ve been reading the reviews about people putting their babies in this in the rocking position, and that’s entirely too early for this feature to be used. The toddler rocker part is for when the child is old enough to reach the floor with his/her own legs. You wouldn’t put a child in an adult rocking chair and you shouldn’t use the rocking feature of this chair for babies either. It’s for the toddler stage. I’ve had this rocker for 6+ years and none of my 3 children have ever fallen out because they’ve never been put in by themselves in the rocker mode.
